A distinguished, velvety smooth texture, accompanied by delicate sweetness and mild bitter undertones. Ceremonial matcha boasts a strong flavour and possesses a bright green hue, mild umami, with respectable bitter notes of catechins characteristics of Japanese green tea. Consuming matcha can help neutralise free radicals, reduce ‘bad’ LDL cholesterol and has been linked to cancer prevention. In addition, matcha has a high concentration of L-theanine, an amino acid that can ease anxiety, helping with relaxation and sleep.
